andrographolide

Andrographolide is an extract from rom the stem and leaves of the andrographis paniculata. Andrographolide is an extremely bitter substance, and a natural bitterant. The plant is grown for medicinal purposes in China and India. Andrographolide has been shown to be effective against certain cancers and is an effective purgative. When in bloom, Andrographis exhibits small white flowers.

Andrographolide, the bitter constituent of andrographis panaculata, is believed to have stimulate the immune system, act as an anti-inflammatory, and provide liver protection. Some of the health benefits of attributed to andrographolide include:
